BLOCK EDITOR FEATURES IMPROVEMENTS:

A Welcome Guide modal: In WordPress 5.4 you will see a welcome guide model that contains four different slides with a short description to introduce new users with the block editor.

![""/]("https://minervainfotech.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/editor1.png")

You can re-launch the welcome modal for help. Look at the below screenshot for how to relaunch it.

![""/]("https://minervainfotech.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/editor2.png")

In WordPress 5.4, two new blocks have been added to the library.
Social Icons Block: You can link social media icons at your WordPress pages and posts.

![""/]("https://minervainfotech.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/editor3.png")

Button Block: Earlier Button block will be replaced by Buttons Block. Now you can add more than one button and have more color options for background and text color with other style- related customization options.

![""/]("https://minervainfotech.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/editor4.png")

While do_shortcode() is not being deprecated, the new function delivers better semantics.Better favicon handling: Now favicon requests can be managed with more flexibility. Administrators can choose a favicon in the Customizer, or upload a /favicon.ico file. The WordPress logo will always load as a fallback.Clearer information about errors in wp_login_failed.
Site ID has been added to the newblog_notify_siteadmin filter for multisite installs.
Support has been added for the required WordPress and PHP version headers in themes.
Embed support has been added for TikTok.

CONCLUSION:

We will be eagerly waiting for WordPress 5.4 with added exciting features!!!!
